After almost three decades of ethnic conflict, Sri Lanka is in the process of rebuilding her economy and social/physical infrastructure. Many families are still displaced (internally displaced persons), either due to the armed conflict, natural disasters or economic hardship; many households are without basic amenities such as water and electricity; children have dropped out of school due to poverty and many adults have little or no access to sustainable income generating activities. These are just a few of the issues that need to be addressed, if we are to pave the way for a society which is just, equal and prosperous.

Working with communities and enabling communities are activities that MillenniumIT has always engaged in. As with our work, our staff is the catalyst in conceptualising, initiating and driving these activities.
