Chinese Vice Minister of Information Technology visits MillenniumIT® 10th February 2006, Colombo A high-powered delegation from China led by the Honourable Vice Minister of Information Industry (MII) Mr. Lou Quinjian visited Sri Lanka's Millennium Information Technologies (MillenniumIT®) recently. The delegation was invited to MillenniumIT® to showcase the contribution the Company has made towards the development of the ICT sector in Sri Lanka. The Vice Minister and the delegation were escorted on a site tour of MillenniumIT®, by a team led by Dr. Anush Amarasinghe (Chief Operating Officer, MillenniumIT®) and Mr. Peter D' Almeida (Head of Millennium Enterprise & Service Provider Business). "Our software products are already implemented in several countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Mauritius, Kenya, Croatia and Ghana. As we know, China is rapidly developing into a key user of cutting edge ICT technology. The Chinese Government is extremely supportive of the development of the information technology industry, regionally as well as globally. Therefore, we look forward to the support of China in promoting the wide adoption of information technology in their country and in the region" said Dr. Anush Amarasinghe, Chief Operating Officer at MillenniumIT®.
