Job Description

The success or failure of a critical project often depends on the skill of its project manager.  Project management is playing and increasingly pivotal role in software companies, providing prospective employees with excellent career opportunities.

Project Managers (PMs) are entrusted with managing the scope of work, coordinating activities of the teams; managing time lines, resources and budgets and translating strategic decisions of the leadership into operational processes. PMs also serve as a key client interface and are in charge of training and developing the project team and ensuring that products are released to the client as per plan.

To be a successful project manager, it is important to have a variety of management skillsPlanning and coordination skills are required to ensure that all parts of the team proceed along the proper path and meet the relevant requirements. Leadership needs to be provided to the teams to ensure that they meet their objectives in a timely manner. Management skills are required for the overall management of resources.  In addition to this a PM needs to be an excellent communicator, a team player, and a person capable of translating vision into practical action.
