The Scorpions project sought to establish a computer lab at a community centre in Athidiya to improve the computer literacy of the children and teachers.  This project was carried out in partnership with Asha Trust, which has been working with economically marginalised communities in Sri Lanka since 2005. It is a volunteer-based organisation which supports a wide variety of projects and programmes ranging from under-resourced schools to care for the elderly.

Fundraising initiatives included a bake sale in Dubai which raised close to Rs. 50,000, an arm-wrestling tournament held at theMillenniumITcampus, an on-line auction page and a photo booth.

Each team was asked to create a video documentary of their project. The Scorpions received the prize for best documentary as well as the prize for the highest amount of funds raised.
