Sharks:helping disabled veterans

Partnering with the SevaVanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Army, the Sharks provided a group of disabled ex-soldiers with Juki sewing machines, a soldier who wishes to participate in the Paralympics with sports equipment and provided ten houses at Abhimansala (Brave Hearts Wellness Resort) with ceiling fans and exhaust fans.

Partnering with SevaVanitha unit of the Sri Lanka Army, the Sharks provided two disabled soldiers with sewing machines and provided ten houses at Abhimansala with ceiling fans and exhaust fans.They also donated sports equipment to a soldier who wished to participate in the upcoming Paralympics.

Ambhimansala, also known as Brave Hearts Wellness Resort was built by the Sri Lanka Army to provide lifelong care for disabled soldiers.Most of the houses here have beenbuilt and furnished through private donations; donations also provide for the maintenance of some of the houses.Ceiling fans and exhaust fans were needs identified after the housing units were constructed.

To raise funds for the project, the Sharksorganised a juice bar and a cocktail bar. More funds were raised from the sale of beautifully designed MillenniumIT t-shirts to be worn on the CSR walk.
