MillenniumIT, the provider of ultra-low latency, flexible and scalable capital markets solutions, and part of London Stock Exchange Group, today announces that Bolsa de Valores de Lima (BVL), the Peruvian stock exchange has gone live with MillenniumIT’s technology solution.
The exchange has replaced its legacy trading technology infrastructure with MillenniumIT’s multi-asset trading platform (Millennium Exchange™) and Smart Order Router (Millennium SOR™) for equities and fixed income trading and connectivity throughout the MILA region. Both products are underpinned by MillenniumIT’s next generation integration platform, Millennium Advanced Platform (MAP™), supporting the exchange’s entire trading operation and ensuring it meets the market’s evolving regulatory requirements.
The complete solution has been adapted to meet the unique connectivity and language requirements of the market in Peru and the extended MILA region of Mexico, Chile and Colombia, including a fully integrated Trader Workstation in Spanish. The deployment is MillenniumIT’s first live implementation in South America.
Mack Gill, CEO, MillenniumIT said: “Going live with MillenniumIT’s solution at BVL in Peru represents a significant milestone for us as an organisation and an important step for new business and investment opportunities in the region. Every financial institution and its requirements are unique and MillenniumIT’s technology is designed to meet those needs in a timely, efficient way. By tailoring our solution to the local requirements of BVL, we have been able to support the exchange’s entire trading operation and ensure it is fully equipped to meet the future challenges of international growth. MillenniumIT’s solution will enable the exchange to connect to additional markets in the MILA region and we look forward to playing our part in the next stage of Bolsa de Valores de Lima’s development.”
Francis Stenning, CEO, Bolsa de Valores de Lima said: “BVL has seen excellent growth in trading volumes in recent years. Upgrading our existing technology to MillenniumIT will enable Bolsa de Valores de Lima to build on this impressive growth, provide new services to the local market and take advantage of more globally, interconnected markets, including MILA. MillenniumIT has combined its deep understanding of the world’s capital markets with real flexibility to provide a solution that is uniquely tailored to our local requirements.”
